Above the roofs of Merano, the beautiful alpine town of Trentino Alto Adige, there is a welcoming haven, where Carmen takes care of details with love, always so amazingly and sensually. Klaus loves the force of nature, the spectacle of the seasons, and the value of perseverance. Together they created this bond: a mountain hide-away, as they like to call it. A spell away from everyday life, very close to nature. This is how they themselves describe the idyllic reality that surrounds them and which they have created for the guests of Miramonti Boutique Hotel, located in the village of Avelengo, the terrace of Merano. This oasis of rest and relaxation, at 1,230 meters hight, is located on the sunny plateau of Tschöggelberg, close to little lake Sulfner and to the small church of S. Catherine.
The hotel was founded in 1932 as a small Gasthof with three bedrooms. It was completely renovated and transformed into a residence twenty years later, in 1984. In 1998 it conquests the 4 stars and ten years later it becomes a hotel. The rooms have a minimalist design, natural colors in perfect harmony with the views outside, wide open spaces and breathtaking views. At Miramonti Boutique Hotel since 2005 you can enjoy the delights of the “Fine Dining” Panorama restaurant, furnished with Italian designer furniture, fully windowed. The kitchen prepares light and wholesome meals created by the culinary art of chef Massimo Geromel, accompanied by the best Trentino wines. Breakfasts and snacks will surprise you thanks to homemade pastries, the classic South Tyrolean apple strudel and the Biokistl fruit. The wine tastings of traditional stube Miramonti can be defined somewhat legendary. For fans, you can also book wine tours accompanied by homeowners in their nine seats Land Rover Defender, with a visit to two wineries and lunch at the farmhouse.
Another type of activity is available to people staying at Miramonti Boutique Hotel: the forest therapy. Thirty hectares of deciduous and coniferous trees welcome you with the only background of the singing of birds and rustle of trees, while you are walking with Nordic walking sticks. By yourself or accompanied by Klaus, you will experience the unspoiled nature. The Forest Therapy takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. When you return, you can cuddle in the fitness area with a sauna or steam bath, or you can continue the activity in the pool, or practicing other sports assisted by a fitness coach at your disposal.
Finally, something curios: the film “The Spy Who loved me” of the 007 series, was shot in 1977 in the surroundings of the Hotel Miramonti Bourique. To celebrate this cinematic gem, every Sunday evening here is projected a James Bond film in German with Italian subtitles.
