Suitime Hotel in Milan, a refined design guesthouse

Suitime ingresso

Travelling while feeling at home. This is the soul of Suitime, a guesthouse located in one of the most exclusive residential areas of Milan, in the Magenta district, close to Santa Maria delle Grazie and to the Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci.

Casa Candiani is the historic building that houses this designer jewel, with its beautiful mullioned windows in a Renaissance style and brick works. By entering the access code in the electronic panel on the side of the door, guests enter the lobby of the building that reveals an unexpected garden, so ‘classic Milan’ as to be hidden from prying eyes. Here there are no reception, lobby, information desks. You get to your suite, an apartment of impeccable design embellished with pieces of Le Corbusier and Vico Magistretti, through no filters, just by crossing a white and bright corridor.
White is, together with beige, putty and light-brown, the color that dominates throughout the house.

The two-leveled monochrome suite, contrasts with luxurious finishes such as velvet, colored marble, refined essences and quality lacquers. Bedroom and bathroom are downstairs,  living room and kitchenette, upstairs. These spaces, designed to live and work freely, are continuous, separated by opaque glass dividers framed in raw brass.

The renovation of the building, designed in the late ‘800 by Luigi Broggi, was entrusted to Gino Guarnieri and Luca Mercatelli who built 6 apartments, realizing a project on contemporary and metropolitan living.

Suitime is an excellence corner of Milan which combines the tailoring of the interior design with the charm and discretion of a private home that is located in one of the most beautiful buildings in Milan. Here everything has been designed to be simple and easy: from wifi connection, to the card for city-bikes with which you can stroll around downtown, to the 24 hours assistance which also includes the possibility to find dinner ready for 2/3 people.

In the same street there are Rossana Orlandi’s concept store and art gallery, the Pane e Acqua restaurant and the San Carlo pastry shop.

During the summer, it is nice to stay in the courtyard and enjoy a book under a tree, just like you would at home.
